Timothy Brewer
Tim is a newly minted Industrial Designer with sixteen years of software and hardware product development experience in Product Planning and Program Management at Microsoft. He is passionate about and believes in the value design brings to the capabilities of technology. He holds 14 utility patents including two patents on the ubiquitous mouse scroll wheel. You will find Tim innately curious, empathetic with users, innovative in his ideas, and that he has a gift for spotting relevant patterns and opportunities along with alternative ways to proceed. Tim is a trusting leader able to inspire others with visions of what can be. He was born in Los Angeles; grew up in Great Falls, Montana; received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Montana State University; and is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Industrial Design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

Tarangini Jindal
Tarangini is a Design Strategist and Researcher with a background in Industrial Design, who is Passionate about systems design, deeply rooted in detailed research and first hand experiences. Sustainability is a theme which is recurrent in her work. You will see an accumulation of high-end industrial elements to hand-crafted elements with an intricate eye for detail. After earning an undergraduate degree in product design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India, and working for three years, she pursued her Masters at Art Center College of Design. Presently she is working in India with FinalMile, a design firm specializing in Non- Conscious Design.

Jules Moretti
Made in France, grown in England. Jules Moretti has both traveled and lived on many different continents. This cosmopolitan upbringing has given him the opportunity to develop an observational sensibility for diverse logics, cultures, and objects. With a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Edinburgh, as a solid foundation of his studies, along with five years of professional DJ experience, Jules has stretched his sensibility of the world around him in both an analytical and human conscious manner.

James Chiang
Formerly a systems engineer at JPL NASA, James is a dedicated advocate of business embracing creative strategies for sustainable growth. As an engineer, James designed and tested flight hardware on the Mars Science Laboratory, the next Mars rover mission, scheduled to reach Mars in 2012. Home is Basel, Switzerland, where he lived for 17 years. James is currently concluding towards a M.S. in industrial design at Art Center College of Design. He has a B.S. in mechanical engineering, with distinction, from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Leslie Evans
After graduating from Art Center Leslie will hold degrees in each discipline of the holy trinity of design, business, and engineering. In 2004 she earned Bachelor’s of Science degrees from Penn Engineering and The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. She then worked as a materials engineer helping to keep planes flying in the sky. In her words, “As a designer and problem solver, I’m interested in having fun and coming up with solutions that make good sense.” Favorite forms of procrastination include going to the movies, making cakes, and sewing.

Magdalena Paluch
Originally from Krakow, Poland, Magdalena moved to United States to complete her undergraduate degree in architecture. With a passion for details and the influence of materials on their end users, she decided to pursue a career in industrial design to focus on the user-centric design approach and materials research.
From her experience in architecture and planning, Magdalena brings a planner-like, comprehensive design perspective and contextual approach to industrial design.

Anuja Joshi
Born and raised in India, Anuja worked as an architect and interior designer before embarking on a journey to California. She brings her influences from architecture, into designing products and is always curious how environments affect products and vice versa. Sarena Yang
Graduated with BA in Industrial Design in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Sarena chose to matriculate to grad school where she can continue her training and gain a deeper understanding of the complex and exciting world of Industrial Design. Fascinated by the physical and psychological variables of user experience, she would study, listen, and observe users carefully to identify their real needs. Her goal is to combine style and functionality to better the lives of the users.

David Huang
Graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2005 with an B.S. in Engineering, David continued to pursue his dream of becoming a designer by attending the gradID program in 2006. He has since than produced a plethora of designs ranging from consumer to medical products that are currently on the market. His passion for art and design can not only be seen in his design work but also in his personal work as well. David has started a small design firm with another Art Center alumni in late 2009 and is now on their third client.

Peilun Shan
Prior to the creative madness that was Art Center, Peilun earned his living as an applications developer for IBM Global Services and IBM’s Almaden Research Center. As a developer, he gained expertise in systems and user interface design, but desired to expand his understanding of design to physical products as well as user experiences. He is especially interested in the intersection between software technology and physical products.
Peilun holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is currently working as a freelance designer.

David Stolzer
David is a graduate from The University of Kansas (yes I know, we’re not in Kansas anymore) where he first learned of user-centered design. Through Grad ID, as well as his work experiences, David has assembled a unique combination of creative and business methodologies used to find original and non-obvious solutions. He is currently working as an Industrial Design + Research Consultant in Los Angeles, CA.

Colin Owen
Colin was raised by wolves in southern hinterlands. He was housebroken and washed at Rice University (B.A. in Arch, B. of Arch.), and then formulated into a proper design-beast at Art Center College of Design (M.S.I.D.). His professional ghastliness has served a diverse set of clients including Wireless Generation, Nokia, NASA, Nike, Biodesign, Razer, AUX, and Terrazign. He currently teaches at California College of the Arts in the Undergraduate Industrial Design Department and Graduate Design Department. He also serves as the Acting Chair of the Industrial Design Department and spends sleepless nights in his lair building, consulting, tinkering, and writing. He has not yet bitten any clients or students.

Quinn Chow
Quinn has lived and worked across four continents, and he blames two vices on this. The first is an intense addiction to culturally diverse food. The second is boundless energy in applying design to contextually diverse problems. His combination of Masters and MBA study at Art Center in California and INSEAD in France were foundational, and he now brings design into the most senior-level boardrooms in Australia. As a Second Road business designer, Quinn’s diverse work includes a traveler’s pathway that lifts a government agency up to leading passenger experience at airports, and manuals that guide a multinational infrastructure company’s executive leaders in sponsoring top-down, innovation and sustainable growth projects.

Ashley Yu
Having explored the world of conceptual design as an architecture student at UC Berkeley, she entered the realm of design strategy at Art Center. Now she has found her niche in between the two as a designer of retail displays and environments. Pulling knowledge from both fields, she balances shopping behaviors of consumers with cost effective solutions for clients in creating simple yet powerful visual and experiential impact in various retail spaces.
