Scott Allred

Shixun Chen
As a designer and engineer, Shixun tries to seek the balance between creativity and practicality, creating products closely connected with the latest trends. She thinks both rationally and emotionally to design functional and aesthetic products with fun user experience. Shixun received her bachelor in Tsinghua University. And She designed for companies including IBM, Daimler-Mercedes, Didi and China Unicom.

Ryan Cunningham
Born in Dallas, Tx, Ryan is a graduate from the University of Kansas with a degree in industrial design and a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He is also an Eagle Scout. Ryan believes that, as Thomas J. Watson said, good design is good business, and that the two fields have a mutually beneficial relationship. Ryan has worked multiple fields, including industrial design, user interface design, and experience design.

Eve Doolin
Eve Doolin’s background in sculpture and fashion gives her a unique approach to design that focuses on problem solving through research, theory, and use of materials. With experience in both the design and brand management sides of the fashion industry, Eve aspires to develop beautiful, functional objects that pay tribute to her professional and educational experience, as well as her deeply-rooted Southern California upbringing.

Mike Heiss
Mike comes from an analytical background with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Math. He takes a systems approach to problem solving, keeping a broad perspective to understand social and business contexts. He has participated in the many processes to bring a new product concept from specification to mass production. At ArtCenter, Mike practices new methods of generating ideas and developing concepts to create meaningful products and experiences that improve people’s lives.

Subinay Malhotra

Cherry lan Nei Ng
From a young age, Cherry knew she wanted to pursue a career in design. After years of taking art classes, she decided to attend Parsons the New School for Design, where she graduated with a BBA Strategic Design and Management degree. Following her graduation she entered the fashion/cosmetics industry working as a junior designer at Scott Adam Designs, where she designed promotional goods. Wanting to further develop her understanding in design, she entered ArtCenter College of Design to pursue industrial design. She aims to develop more technical skill sets as well as receive inspiration from her peers. Cherry believes successful businesses are derived from good design strategies along with human-centered products and she hopes to build her own business with these morals in the near future.

Coco Shi
Coco Shi, an industrial designer from China, approaches her design with patience, empathy and attention to detail. Her aesthetic is simple, friendly and user-oriented. Shi believes that designers should continually have new and different experiences, challenging themselves to try things they never have before. She understands the importance of collaboration with different people to continue to learn and design responsibly.

Ziyao Wang
Ziyao Wang is an industrial designer born and raised in Zhengzhou, China and received his Bachelor’s degrees in industrial design from Ohio State University. He comes from an art background but studied science. His approach to design is the marriage of these two life experiences resulting in human centered design with high aesthetics. “Science makes products better but art influences people’s lives”. He has worked in companies such as FAW-Volkswagen and Apera Instruments, Ziyao is currently pursuing his Master’s in Industrial Design at ArtCenter.

Mingchen Ye

Atria Azarmi
Coming from an Applied Mathematics background, Atria Azarmi has a very distinct way of looking at problems and how they can be solved. As a multidisciplinary designer, she combines analytical thinking with design thinking and takes a broader view at user problems that go beyond the main product to re-imagine the user experience. This approach allows her to reveal insights that lead to unexpected opportunities and meaningful solutions which resonate with people emotionally.

Geemay Chia
Inspired by the storytelling ability of animation and film, Geemay Chia seeks to enrich lives by designing products that resonate emotionally. This fixation on the user experience has propelled her projects from one dimensional products to meaningful experiences that engage people on a deeper level. Her work has received recognition from various organizations including IDSA, IDEA and IHA. At ArtCenter, she continues to explore projects with a user centered focus. Joshua Han
Joshua is an industrial designer and artist born in Seoul, raised in Hong Kong and educated in Beijing. He received his Bachelors degrees in industrial design and fine arts at Seoul National University of Science and Technology. He believes interacting with diverse cultures and perspectives helps develop one’s way of thinking and looking at things. In his design work he emphasizes clean and honest designs that are dedicated to aesthetics and essential functions.
